Asana is one of only two tools on this list I've actually used. I started with it on small teams back around 2012-2015 in those days you could add a couple of users on the free plan mostly for notes,organizing projects, and to-do-style task tracking. What kept me on it was simple: speed, fluidity and reliability. Years later, even on a free account I'd long stopped logging into ,my data was still there and I could get straight back in and for me that quiet reliability says more about the brand than any feature list.
