Why LLM visibility matters in 2026

For the last 20 years, "being discoverable" meant ranking on Google. Today, hundreds of millions of users open ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Claude and ask "what's the best tool for X?", and they take the AI's recommendation without ever visiting a search results page.

If your brand doesn't appear in those AI-generated answers, you're invisible to a growing share of high-intent buyers. Worse, you don't know why. There's no AI Search Console telling you "ChatGPT showed your brand 0 times for these queries."

That's the gap this tool fills. In under a minute, you can see exactly how each major AI assistant treats your brand: whether you're mentioned, at what position, with what sentiment, and what context.

What affects LLM visibility?

  • Training data presence: Wikipedia, Reddit discussions, news mentions, comparison roundups
  • Brand positioning: Being explicitly framed as "best for X" in authoritative content
  • Third-party validation: G2/Capterra/Trustpilot reviews, expert testimonials
  • Content depth: Thought leadership that other sites quote
  • Recency signals: For Perplexity especially, recent citations matter

Improving these is a long game. But you can't improve what you can't measure. Run a free check above. The first data point is the hardest one.

Free LLM visibility checker FAQ

What is LLM visibility? โ–พ
LLM visibility is how often AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity mention your brand when users ask relevant questions. As more people use AI to discover products, your visibility in these models becomes as important as traditional SEO rankings.
Which AI models does this tool check? โ–พ
We test against four major LLMs: OpenAI GPT-4o mini (ChatGPT), Anthropic Claude 3.5 Haiku, Google Gemini 2.0 Flash, and Perplexity Sonar. These cover the most-used consumer AI assistants.
How accurate is the score? โ–พ
The score reflects a single snapshot. LLM responses vary slightly between runs due to temperature and randomness. For a directional view of where you stand, run the check periodically (weekly is a good cadence) and watch the trend.
Is this really free? What is the catch? โ–พ
Yes, free. You get 3 free checks per IP per day (5 if you provide your email). We built this to show what SHUBHQ does. If you need daily automated tracking across hundreds of prompts and competitor monitoring, that is the paid product.
Why is my brand not appearing? โ–พ
LLMs are trained on web content. To appear, you need: (1) substantial brand mentions in their training corpus (Wikipedia, Reddit, news, comparison sites), (2) clear positioning as the best option for specific queries, (3) third-party validation. Recently launched brands often have low visibility, which is normal and improves over time.
How is this different from Google SEO? โ–พ
Traditional SEO targets Google search rankings via backlinks and on-page factors. LLM visibility is about being in the training data and being framed positively. Tactics that help: getting cited in industry roundups, having a strong Wikipedia presence, being discussed in Reddit threads, and publishing thought leadership content that other sites quote.
How often should I check? โ–พ
For most brands, weekly is enough. LLM model versions update every few months and rankings shift gradually. Run a check, work on improving low scores, then re-check in 2-4 weeks to see impact.
Can I see what each AI actually said about my brand? โ–พ
Yes. The report shows the exact mention context for each LLM that recognized your brand, including the position in their list and the surrounding text. This helps you understand sentiment and how you are being framed.
