AI Visibility Tracking
Track how your brand appears across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Perplexity. Measure AI visibility scores, compare competitors, and monitor sentiment in AI-generated responses.
A Next-Generation Visibility Module for the AI Era
Traditional SEO measures visibility on Google. But in a world where users now ask ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity for recommendations, your brand’s presence in AI-generated answers is just as critical as your Google ranking. When a user asks “What is the best uptime monitoring tool?”, which brands does AI recommend? Is your brand on the list? What position? What tone?
LLM Visibility Tracking is ShubHQ’s next-generation visibility module that sends your query to five major AI platforms in parallel, extracts brand and tool rankings from the responses, performs sentiment analysis, and produces a Visibility Score. It brings the discipline of search rank tracking into the world of AI-generated answers.
The module operates as a live measurement system for AI-era brand positioning: not just “does AI know about you?” but “how does AI talk about you, where does it place you, and how does that compare to your competitors?”
Page Structure

How to Write Effective Prompts
Ready-made prompt templates are provided that reflect how real users ask AI.

Replace [your category] with your category (e.g. uptime monitoring, SEO tool, CRM software, project management).
Your Prompt
The user writes a free-text question (e.g. “What is the best SEO tool for digital marketing?”).
LLM Platforms
Select which AI platforms to query:
| Platform | Provider |
|---|---|
| ChatGPT | OpenAI |
| Claude | Anthropic |
| Gemini | |
| Grok | xAI |

One, several, or all five platforms can be queried simultaneously.

Modules
1. Top Score Cards
Four main metric cards displayed after a query.
Visibility Score
A single metric from 0 to 100 summarizing your brand’s overall visibility across the AI ecosystem.
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Half-circle gradient gauge | Visual indicator with red (weak), orange (moderate), green (strong) scale. |
| Descriptive text | e.g. “5/5 platforms mention your brand.” |
This score is a weighted combination of mention rate, ranking position, sentiment, and platform diversity.
Average Position
Your brand’s average ranking across all LLMs (e.g. #11.8 of 15 items).
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Half-circle gauge | Visual indicator with #1 (best), #8 (mid), #15 (worst) reference points. |
| Per-platform badges | GPT #14, Cla #10, Gem #9, Grk #12, Per #14. |
This card answers not just “was I mentioned?” but “what position was I mentioned at?” Since users typically only read the first 3-5 recommendations, position is critically important.
Mention Rate
The percentage of queried LLMs where your brand appeared (e.g. 100%, 5 of 5 LLMs).
Sentiment
The tone in which AI responses mention your brand:
| Sentiment | Description |
|---|---|
| Positive | Recommending tone. |
| Neutral | Objective description tone (may also show as Mixed). |
| Negative | Critical or unfavorable tone. |

2. Brands & Tools Mentioned by AI
A unified ranking of all brands and tools appearing in LLM responses.
Header Band:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Domain mention status | e.g. “robotalp.com found in 5 of 5 LLMs” |
| Per-platform position labels | ChatGPT #14, Claude #10, Gemini #9, Grok #12, Perplexity #14. |
| Avg. Position | Overall average position. |
Ranked List:
All brands and tools from all responses, ranked by mention frequency.
Each row includes:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Rank number | 1, 2, 3… |
| Brand name | With short AI description (e.g. “Ubersuggest, A budget-friendly SEO tool”). |
| Platform dots | Colored indicators showing which platforms mentioned the brand (green: ChatGPT, brown: Claude, blue: Gemini, orange: Grok, light blue: Perplexity). |
| Visibility bar | Percentage bar (e.g. 40%, 20%). |
This module directly reveals competitor visibility. Which brands does AI recommend before you? Which ones share your position? Which ones consistently appear in the top three?

3. Results by Platform
A panel showing each LLM’s response individually in detail.
Each platform opens as a separate card:
| Element | Description |
|---|---|
| Platform logo & name | ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity. |
| Mentioned #X label | Your brand’s position in that response. |
| Sentiment label | Positive, neutral, or negative. |
| Top recommendations | The first few suggestions from that platform’s response. |
| Show more button | Expands to the full response. |
This view lets you compare how different AI platforms answer the same question differently. One platform may place you at #3 while another puts you at #14; that gap reveals strategic insights.
Example Platform Response (ChatGPT):
| # | Brand | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ahrefs | A top-tier SEO and competitive research platform known for powerful backlink analysis and keyword data. |
| 2 | Semrush | An all-in-one digital marketing suite widely used for SEO, PPC, content, and competitor analysis. |
| 3 | Moz Pro | A trusted SEO toolset offering solid keyword research, site audits, and rank tracking. |

Why AI Visibility Matters
Modern users no longer just ask Google before making purchase decisions, they also ask ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. Questions like “Which CRM should I choose?” or “What is the best uptime monitoring tool?” are now directed straight to AI for recommendations.
Three consequences of this new behavior:
| # | Consequence |
|---|---|
| 1 | Appearing in AI answers is as critical as being on Google’s first page. If AI doesn’t recommend a brand, users typically never discover it. |
| 2 | AI answers are not a single ranking, they’re an aggregation. They draw from many sources. Gaining AI visibility depends not just on SEO, but on the entire ecosystem of brand, content, PR, and mentions. |
| 3 | AI answers change over time. Every model update and training data revision reshapes rankings. Regular monitoring is therefore critically important. |
LLM Visibility Tracking provides the tracking and measurement layer for this new world.

Tips & Best Practices
- Mimic real user questions. Start with standard queries like “Best X tool” and expand with niche variations.
- Re-send the same prompt weekly. AI answers change over time; continuity is essential for trend tracking.
- Try queries in different languages. Turkish, English, and German can produce different answers to the same prompt.
- Don’t ignore geographic differences. Answers from a US perspective can differ greatly from a Turkey perspective.
- Monitor sentiment. Even if position is high, a brand mentioned with negative tone is at risk.
- Run competitor comparisons. Don’t just look at your own rank, check competitor rankings too.
- Test comparison queries. See how AI attributes value in “X vs Y” questions.
- Convert results into content decisions. If AI doesn’t list you, publishing a comprehensive comparison piece for that category can make a difference.
- Review historical trend charts regularly. “I was at position 15 three months ago, now I’m at position 8” is proof your marketing strategy is working.
